This award is open to companies in the region that have been in operation for a maximum of three years as of January 1, 2017.

This award is open to companies in the region that have demonstrated sales and marketing excellence over the year.
As part of the judging criteria for this award, judges will examine the innovation and creativity of the business, as well as its ability to find solutions for sales and marketing challenges.
Paying tribute to the company that has excelled in the field of science and technology, this award recognises advancement and innovation.
Continuing a strong scientific and technological ethos, the finalists will be selected and judged on the quality of their products and services, their dedication to sales performance, their commitment to innovation and the sustainability of their business.
The winner of this award will have achieved measurable results and be able to show that they are continuing to build upon their reputation for retail excellence. This category covers entrants from online, Boutique and high street retailers.
Judges will also consider the contribution the business has made to the economic stability of the county. The eventual winner will represent one of Derbyshire’s finest retail businesses.
Companies who trade solely online and digitally as well as Companies trading at a permanent residence are eligible to enter as long as they pay business rates to a Derby or Derbyshire Council.
This award will choose from Derbyshire’s wealth of creative businesses to recognise the company that has made major strides in this important sector.
Judges will look at the finalists’ dedication to developing something truly creative across a variety of industries.
Entrants must also demonstrate a considered dedication to financial achievement and future business success.
The Excellence in Manufacturing Award celebrates the company that has upheld the manufacturing traditions of the local area, while continuing to strengthen the regional economy.
All finalists will demonstrate a dedication to manufacturing excellence with emphasis placed on quality, sales performance, sustainability and investment.
This award will reward an organisation that has generated substantial and sustained increases in export activity.
The judges will be tasked with considering all aspects of the company, looking at their unique offering and business approach, as well as the level of international trade achieved and the measurable financial results of this.
The finalists for this award will have demonstrated considerable dedication to corporate, social and ethical responsibility.
They will be asked to provide evidence of their work having a positive impact on the community.
Judges will focus on businesses that have contributed substantially to the community through various means, including society-led projects, aiding economic regeneration and supporting local suppliers.
The award celebrates the best of the county’s many not-for-profit organisations that make a contribution to the community around them.
Recognising the excellent performance of the public sector, not-for-profit and charitable organisations in the Derbyshire area, the nominees will be judged on their ability to maintain financial performance, as well as looking at the cultural influence of the organisation and the potential benefits it brings.
